Animals and agriculture have always been a passion of mine.  I could be found at my grandfather’s veterinary clinic in most of my free time.  He was an “old school” veterinarian that conducted most of his practice through house calls.  I’ve traveled most every back road of Posey County in his truck, with the windows down listening to public radio.  As I got older, I got involved in marching band, 4-H, soccer and backpacking.  As I became more involved in extracurriculars, my time was spent differently, but I always came back to animals and the outdoors.

 

     As a mom, I’m always looking for ways to get my kids involved in nature and the community.  Three of my four girls are now in 4-H with my youngest being of age to join next year.  I would love for them and others in the area to have somewhere to come to and hang out that can teach them something at the same time.  I want Mudpuppy Palace to be that place.  Kids growing up in the city can still learn how to embrace and learn from the outdoors!
